Description:
This two-humped, seasonally hairy mammal can drink over 20 gallons of
water in one sitting! During the winter, they grow think coats of brown
and reddish fur in order to withstand temperature up to 20 below zero
(F). They have large padded feet that makes it easier to walk on sand.
Habitat: These
Camels live in Central Asia to Mongolia. They live in areas where
they're is coarse vegetation, dry grasses, and thorny plants.
Threats: Habitat
loss, impending human population, loss of water holes, competition for
food and water with domestic animals, including domestic camels.
