Many of the animals featured in Two By Two are threatened and endangered. A few animals, such as the Scimitar-Horned Oryx which used to be the most common large mammal in Africa, are now extinct from the wild. Due to hunting and habitat loss the Scimiar-Horned Oryx only exists in zoos and refuges. To help save these and other animals, please contribute to reputable animal conservation programs and take part in preserving local habitats as well.
